Roger Rabbit!
As I was going through the movies that were made from books on the website we got from Becky, I found so many that books that I would love to read, and just might, on my own time. I narrowed my list down and decided that I couldn't pass up the ever classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I started reading it, an it reads nicely, its very intense. So far the book has introduced the type of world that the book takes place in, how it works and the characters. The world is the exact same as the one we live in today except for the small detail that it's humans living with cartoons! The book so far has explained how the cartoons differ from the people, when they talk they speak in talk bubbles and think in think bubbles that fit their character, for example the baby's talk bubble has writing with backwards letters, as a 4 year old would write, when the toons whisper the bubbles are stretched and small and secretive. Roger Rabbit signed a contract to do a cartoon strip and was promised his own strip, but has only been in the shadows of another toon and he hires a detective to find out why the agency has it out for him.... TO BE CONTINUED.....

You're off to a good start. I remember when the film came out, though I can't recall if I saw it. The book sounds playful and fun.
